Chelsea goalkeeper insists he’s not joining Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois has insisted that he is happy while pouring cold water on reports linking him to Real Madrid.


Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has insisted that he is happy at Chelsea amidst reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Courtois has been impressive for Chelsea this season as run towards the Premier League title this season.

With his good form has come reports linking him with a move

to Real Madrid but the Belgium international has revealed that he is happy at Chelsea.

 


“I don't see myself at Real Madrid, I see myself at Chelsea, the club that six years ago saw me playing in Belgium and gave me the opportunity to sign for them,” the 2e4-year-old told Cadena Ser.

The goalkeeper has however revealed that talks over a new contract have not progressed.

“We will see at the end of the season if they offer me something. For the time being, there has not been an offer,” he added.


He is, however, looking forward to the long term project of Antonio Conte.

“I see that there is a long-term project to win trophies, not just domestically but also in Europe. There is a lot of ambition to play in the Champions League next season.”

The goalkeeper is currently with the Belgium national team ahead of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Greece on Saturday, March 25 and a friendly game against Russia on Tuesday, March 28.
